Vacancy – Commercial Lawyer
We have an immediate vacancy (due to investment and expansion) for an experienced commercial lawyer in our award-winning legal practice based from our Grantham offices.
About the role
You will be taking over an established client base of business owners and directors and small to medium enterprises based largely in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and North Leicestershire and report to the managing director.
The commercial team have work which is split, broadly into three areas (all in growth): Commercial Property and Leasehold; drafting and non-contentious; and business disputes and litigation.
The Business-to-Business department is a cornerstone of the strategic direction of the firm, now into the second year of a growth and investment plan initiated in 2016.
We were established in 2000 as a limited company by Ian Howard – managing director and Yvonne Carratt, director and Head of Private Client. In 2013 the firm actively grew a more traditional legal practice to sit alongside the core litigation business.
We run an electronic case-management system – Proclaim Eclipse. We have a low staff attrition rate, are active in our community through charity support and business networks and actively seek feedback from our clients.
In June 2017, we were appointed Lexcel accreditation on our first attempt – with no minor or major non-compliances. In October, we replaced our IT infrastructure having been awarded a grant from Business Lincolnshire. We are recognised by the legal directories and achieved Business of The Year in 2015.
